Last trip.

Our last backpacking trip of the season. A short loop through some lakes. The Ansel Adams Wilderness is one of my favorite places in the world. The beauty and serenity—completely breathtaking. The Sierra Mountains…’where cares drop like autumn leaves.’ Photos here! Read more →

Rolling Hills.

Rolling hills. That’s what he told me this hike would be like. I have been really out of shape and knew I couldn’t handle too much. But only having done one other trip earlier this summer, we had the itch to get into the back country. To revive ourselves. We started in the Red Cones area going over Mammoth Pass… Read more →

There was heavy traffic down below since you can drive to too many places in the valley, however, once you climbed a little higher, the people just seemed to melt away. From what we hear, it is crowded in the summer… Read more →

Gratitude.

Thank you to all who came out yesterday and/or donated to help the victims of Sandy. It warmed my heart to see how many people, 3,000 miles away, were effected by this storm. Not because I want people to be sad, but because it reminds me that we are all together and that no one has forgotten their roots. “May… Read more →
